FTTH fibre map
Status of the roll-out of Fiber To The Home (FTTH) optical fibre networks on the Belgian territory as communicated by the operators.
The BIPT draws the map regarding the status of the FTTH roll-out based on the data communicated by the operators deploying such an optical fibre network. These data include the zones where the operators deployed an FTTH network or intend to do it in the near future. In these zones, an end-user may in principle (in the short term) connect his or her home to a fibre network.
The colour of the zones indicates how may operators have rolled their FTTH networks in those zones. In addition, a label indicates which operator deployed the FTTH network and which operators offer their internet access services over that network. The operators provide the BIPT with the list of available operators on a network.
This map is regularly updated and its main purpose is to represent the development of the FTTH roll-out in Belgium, because the roll-out of such type of network is in full swing. The BIPT stresses the fact, however, that also other fixed broadband networks, such as the cable operators’ HFC networks can satisfy the European criterion of a VHCN or Very High Capacity Network and are capable of offering high broadband speeds. This map purely shows the status of the roll-out of FTTH networks in Belgium. Up-to-date speeds (across all broadband networks) available at your address can be consulted on the operators’ websites. A complete map with the more detailed coverage of the fixed broadband networks in Belgium is available in the Landline Atlas on this website.

|Data provided by||operators with a physical FTTH optical fibre network|
|Tested for accurarcy||No|

The BIPT does not check the accuracy of these data. For practical reasons, the BIPT is unable to verify the accuracy of the data. However, it analyses their consistency and only displays data which are deemed plausible on the map.
